Smail Bennani
Smail joined Alcazar Energy in 2026 and currently works as a Project Finance Principal in the Investment Team. His responsibilities include focusing on our investment and project financing activities, supporting the structuring and execution of transactions, and managing relationships with partners, lenders and financial institutions.
Smail brings over 12 years of experience in energy and infrastructure finance, with a strong background in project structuring, debt financing, and advisory across the EMEA region. Prior to joining Alcazar Energy, he worked at BNP Paribas in London within the Energy & Infrastructure team.
Before BNP Paribas, Smail worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London, where he originated and executed renewable energy financings.
Smail holds a master’s in management and finance from ESSEC Business School.
