Daniel Lancha

Daniel joined Alcazar Energy in 2016 and currently serves as a Partner. His responsibilities include managing the design, delivery, ESG activities and operations of all AEP-II projects. Daniel has deep knowledge & experience in managing construction and operations of renewable energy projects in emerging markets. He also has an extensive relationship network with the main international suppliers and contractors across the renewable energy market.

Prior to joining Alcazar Energy, Daniel worked for 7 years for Iberdrola Engineering and Construction in the UK as Head of UK Onshore Renewables, Head of Global Offshore Renewables and Contract Manager of Scottish Power Energy Networks Projects. During this period Daniel created the in-house offshore renewables engineering and construction capabilities for Iberdrola including the definition and recruitment of a 150+ team to design and build Iberdrola’s offshore wind farms in Europe. Daniel also implemented the transition of Scottish Power Energy Networks’ design and construction capabilities in-house, integrating and recruiting a team of 80+ staff. Previously he worked 9 years for Iberdrola Ingenieria y Construccion in Qatar, Mexico and Spain as, among others, head of T&D department and Project Manager of T&D and Renewable Energy Projects.

Daniel has over 21 years of experience and holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICAI) in Madrid and an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Madrid.
